Dr. Eric Berg a Scammer? Read This Before Visiting The Health and Wellness Center in Alexandria, VA

***Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed in this article are solely those of the author.

The Health and Wellness Center in Alexandria, Virginia run by Dr. Eric Berg is the most UNETHICAL establishment I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

They utilize fraudulent and deceptive bait and switch advertising tactics to lure customers in with the promise of a free consultation then proceed to use aggressive, hard-sell sales pitch to pressure customers into purchasing a ridiculously overpriced and bogus treatment program.

I stumbled upon Dr. Berg’s Youtube videos and thought he seemed knowledgeable and passionate about health and nutrition. Now I’m convinced it’s all part of the scam. Put out Youtube videos, offer a free assessment, do anything possible to get customers in the doors then say and do anything necessary to make the sale.

I’ve got to give it to Dr. Berg - it’s a very effective strategy, and I’m sure he does very well for himself bilking clients out of money. The Center even goes as far as posting fake positive online reviews to counter the growing list of lackluster reviews left by disgruntled clients.

When an establishment doesn’t offer even a basic 3-day cancellation period on such high priced products like those The Health and Wellness Center markets, it is a major red flag. A decent and reputable company wouldn’t have to resort to deceptive bait advertising and hard sell tactics. A decent and reputable company would be confident enough in their products/services to offer at the very least a cancellation period. A decent and reputable company values their customers enough to provide refunds for any unused portion of prepaid treatment sessions if the customer decides the program is not for them. The Health and Wellness Center is NOT a decent and reputable establishment and certainly does NOT value clients. The only thing this clinic values is getting as much money as possible out of its clients.

I, like many others, called the office and scheduled the free consultation and was excited to meet and discuss with Dr. Berg about my longstanding weight issues. I was instructed to make a list of medications/supplements I’m taking as well as a food diary and bring in for my appointment.

On the day of my appointment, I arrived on time with the required information. I completed new client forms, and a staff member took my weight and blood pressure then had me sit in front of a computer for a few minutes with some sort of electrodes attached to my face supposedly to measure my fight or flight response. I then waited and waited and waited to be seen. After at least an hour and half of waiting, I was finally greeted by an assistant doctor. He proceeded to go over my assessment results, with what sounded like a well-prepared lecture he had given many times and perfected over the years. I was told that my metabolic age is 15 years older than my actual age, and I’m in a permanent stress state where it’s like I’m constantly observing a lion in the room or being chased by a tiger.

The doctor then delved into the hard sales pitch of the treatment protocol consisting of a very low carbohydrate diet (20g of carb/day is recommended), weekly acupressure treatments and massage chair sessions as the solution to my stressed adrenals and weight problem.

I expected him to ask about my food diary and supplement list I was asked to bring in, but he never did. Even when I brought those up myself, he couldn’t be less interested. It quickly became clear to me that the doctor had one mission and one mission only in speaking with me– to sell me the high priced treatment program.

I initially resisted the sales pitch as I hadn’t planned to make any purchase, let alone a purchase that would set me back thousands of dollars, but the doctor would not take “no” for an answer! Eventually, after over three hours of being in the office, I buckled under the unrelenting pressure, and he succeeded in suckering me out of $1,400+ for 6 treatment sessions.

Unfortunately, due to personal life circumstances and some pretty significant health issues that cropped up, I wasn’t able to begin the treatment program as scheduled. I tried rescheduling several times before I decided it just wasn’t going to work and proceeded to request a refund.

I sent a couple letters to the clinic, which they ignored, then I began calling the office. I eventually corresponded with the office manager, who reminded me that I signed the agreement stating that I understood that the program was non-refundable. I reminded her that I was pressured and scared into purchasing the program, and I have not received any treatment or services from the clinic.

I proceeded to file complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General office in Virginia after which I did finally receive a partial refund of the program purchase price. This was not satisfactory considering I did not receive any treatment or service from the clinic whatsoever. But in the end, it was a lesson well learned. I will never again allow myself to be conned out of money by a shady company whose business is built on preying on the emotions of people who may be desperate to lose weight.

If you are looking to lose weight, the clinic offers nothing more than a very restrictive, ultra low-carb diet plan plus 30-minute acupressure sessions followed by sitting in a massage chair for a few minutes. Does that sound like services that should cost upwards of $3,000 for 12 visits? You be the judge.

If you are dead set on visiting the clinic for the so-called free consultation (hours of hard selling) don’t make the same mistake I did. You may want to consider not taking your wallet with you. Believe me, these folks are good at what they do, and it may be difficult to walk out without committing to something you may not have planned for.

  1. I called Dr. Berg out on one of his YT videos. He was selling a chocolate shake for weight loss for 60$. I kindly pointed out that the value for money was terrible, there's about 5$ invested into the product and the rest is all profit, who can afford 60$ for 1.5 pounds of food?

What does he do? He takes the cheap and easy way out: he deletes my comment and blocks me. I guess that's all he can do, because it's impossible to refute my comment which was FACT. Because he wants to rip off his loyal viewers that trust him, my comment had to go.

    PATHETIC.

    1. This doesn't surprise me one bit. Yes, everything he markets is grossly overpriced due to pure GREED. It is a fact, so of course your comment had to go. What a pity.

    2. I've tried to do as he suggests by watching YT, and it just doesn't work. I stopped drinking so much water as I used to and I gained 7lbs as a result. I've tried intermittent fasting instead of 5 small meals a day and I'm binge eating. His advice is BAD.

    3. I've been doing the ketosis diet for about five months. I've lost 33lbs and numerous other health problems have been corrected, arthritis, pain in shoulders, headaches. I do use some of Dr Berg's products, but just the FREE information from the YouTube vids are enough for anyone to achieve like results. In the end, YOU have to do the work. No miracles, common sense and effort.

    4. GREAT COMMENT!! I've done nothing else than the exact same thing, watch his videos healthy diet and exercise. I've lost 50lbs in 2 two months and in the verge of reversing my type 2 diabetes for good. $0 in supplements of any kind. Just hard work and dedication. People always expect zero effort, miracle supplements or programs. Than you Dr. Berg

    5. I"m with these guys, Berg puts out a TON of free videos on youtube giving advice and information, and I've lost 37 lbs. since last month by using it and other people's information. And 3 hours? Seriously? I'm sorry, I don't believe you got put under 3 hours of "unrelenting pressure" where you couldn't leave. You CHOSE not to leave and you CHOSE to buy the products. If it turns out they suck, that's on you. You're not a child and nobody forced you. And furthermore, YES...COMPANIES EXIST TO MAKE PROFITS. Everybody with their "wahh, he's greedy, he just wants my money" needs to grow up.

    6. But the thing is they offered a FREE consultation. I guess I was naïve to expect just that, without having to endure any aggressive hard selling. I think most people dislike being sold. If I read a blog post like this prior to my appointment, I probably would have cancelled the appointment, knowing myself, or left my wallet at home, and I would have been better prepared to resist the extremely forceful marketing. The purpose of my post is to give folk who may be in a similar position a heads up about what they can expect when they show up for the so called “free” consultation.

    9. I don't know. You can get a lot of this same information from others. He puts down Atkins who is the one who came up with the idea of going into ketosis and counting carbs. Now about three decades later they have picked up on it and gone farther. You can lose weight on Atkins but what I prefer is a keto diet that is not so strict. I prefer losing weight slow for health reasons. I believe Berg's main goal is to sell supplements. I saw immediately they were over price. Sometimes they are needed because one isn't getting enough from food, not these days but you don't have to buy them from him. There are a number of things he doesn't mention that others do. With either type of diet you will lose. I'm not a big meat eater so I haven't pushed that but sitting and eating huge bowls of salad, no way. It's not reasonable for the general populace and organic is hard to find and now one needs raw anything. Organic is enough. There are no hormones or antibiotics in chicken...against federal law. Grass fed beef these days is my option because the regular is almost as high as that or what I buy at Walmart. You need to read carb charts especially if you like fruit and also glycemic charts and chose by that. Not eating fruit at all is stupid. What he says about all of that is exaggerated. I won't always need to eat strictly and will adapt my diet but mostly stay away from the bad stuff but I'm human and I know once in awhile I will eat something I really shouldn't but I won't make a habit of it. This strict diet idea is what made me go off of maintaining. I think most of these people have a gimmick and they want to sell you something or they mention places to get things and tell you to mention their name because they get kickbacks. Don't believe it's all altruistic because it's about money. Berg isn't the only one knowledgeable about ketogenic diets. Don't just listen to one person. Good luck to all.

    10. I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience. Dr. Berg and all doctors are in the business, not only to help people, but to make a living... just like the folks who run Weight Watchers and all the other diet plans. The thing I like about Berg is that he puts ALL of his information online for FREE. The most you would need to do is buy a book to help but all of his videos are pretty clear on what you can do.

How many times have we taken FREE trips to a Timeshare, knowing it wasn't actually free. NOTHING is every totally free.

I hope this experience hasn't moved you from your goal of getting healthy.

    11. Sorry to hear about your experience. That is what I know:

To Me Dr. Eric Berg has been a life saver. He was able to identify and help me address my health issues, in a healthy way. Naturally, allowing the body to heal itself as it is intended to be. No prescription drugs, no complications, no side effects. Using nutrition as a tool and natural supplementation. He is an encyclopedia of health and has the ability to put the dots together and figure out what is the root cause of the health problem.

Conventional MDs miss the importance of nutrition to keep the body healthy and create health, which will prevent health issues in the future. They cannot understand how one thing in the body relates to the other and how they are interconnected. For that reason they treat every symptom as a disease with drugs. They just achieve symptoms and disease management and you will go in circles forever while your health will get even worse because the body will deteriorate even further.

Dr. Berg digs deeper and deeper into the health issues and will identify the root cause, and as it is corrected your health will improve and you will get healthy. This can take a bit of time, you do not get diabetes, lupus or cancer overnight, it takes a lot of years of abusing your body with toxic processed foods, alcohol, stress, GMO's, etc. So, the repairing process of your body will take a bit of time but is for sure you will recover. Ordinary MDs do not consider stress, toxins, GMO's etc. They do not have a clue where conditions like Diabetes, Cancer, Alzheimer's, Autoimmune comes from or how to corrected. No wonder they are helpless in terms of guiding their patients to recover their health. In contrast, Dr. Eric Berg does know where they come from and how to help you to recover your health.

I have seen some people calling him an scam, as well as other very good natural doctors. However, he is the truest and most reliable doctor I have ever seen. He had been teaching me how to be healthy and to understand about health. He educates lots of people and help them recover their health. So, Who is the scam here? The Pharmaceutical Industry, the Health Care System and the Food Industry. Those are the scams. Do some research. I can send you some information. If interested contact me at: bahoruco@gmail.com.

I am not getting any payment of profit here. I am just telling the truth. People is very brainwashed, thinking that prescription drugs are the way to cure health issues. So when a doctor does not use these drugs, and use techniques not used in conventional medicine, they think and say that this is not a real doctor, and/or an scam, when the truth is that these are the treatments and approaches that will help you heal your health issues once and for all. He had helped a lot of people with his approach, to recover from health issues other doctors cannot. He also gives away lots of free valuable health information on the web.

His supplements are amazing. I use them, my mother as well and they are the best of the best. They truly help you get better and no side effects of the issusion you are getting better like prescription drugs do.

The most amazing doctor I have ever seen so far and I will stick to him, no matter what.

    14. None of this surprises me after the last 2 months of dealing with them. On 9/4/18, after listening to Dr Berg’s YouTube videos, I thought I would try some of his supplements. I received them and had a terrible experience where a couple of the products made me nauseated. I thought, no problems, they have a 90 day refund policy and it has been 2 weeks. Their website also said the package will be refused and thrown in the trash without a return authorization number. Hence the start of the drama. For more than a week of calls several times a day, no one answered the phone and it would roll over to the answering service, who took so many messages from me that she would identify me by name the moment she answered. She said she gave Dr Bergs office all my messages but no call back.
I decided to do an online chat that I noticed on his website. She wasn’t able to give me a return authorization but stated she would have an office rep call me but no one did. Finally I threatened to pursue a refund through my bank card, and finally, 3 weeks after my initial call, some called me back and gave the the RA#. Problem solved right? Wrong!

I sent the products back , and while waiting for my refund, the company decided to ship me all the products I had previously ordered again charging my card another $160 plus ( this was 10/16/18). They sent me an email in advance to notify me 2 days prior to shipping. I sent them 3 emails, called their office and left messages that I didn’t authorize it, do not ship. They ignored my messages and shipped it anyway. I finally took it up with my bank and filed a complaint. I refused the products that was shipped ( unauthorized) and while waiting to hear from the bank, 2 weeks later on 11/2/18, they sent me an email that they are going to ship me another $175.00 worth of products unauthorized.

I sent them an email not to ship but I expect them to ignore it. I asked my credit company to block Dr Beg as a vendor from making any more charges. And now I’m pursuing my 3rd refund for fraudulent charges (2nd and 3rd shipments) from Dr Berg’s office). It’s either stunning incompetence or a pattern of scam. Either way, they shouldn’t be allowed to do business with the public.

My next complaint is the Virginia BBB and State Attorney General.

I agree....if you notice, his answer for every single big question in the diet world is try keto....all the keto info is out there in the web, he just makes 10 min videos and sell supplements. Also, what they do, they scare you from every thing out there to make sure you dont do this on your own! He said the vegetables out there do not have the nutrients they used to have because soil is depleted....BS: I have raised my potassium from low to a healthy 4,800 just by diet...

  3. What did you expect???!!
It was YOU who decided to go and use a US private health clinic and it certainly was YOU who decided to go for recommended treatment - and it's probably fair to say that it was YOU WHO DECIDED TO PAY FOR WHAT YOU AGREED ON!!!!!!!!!
The fact that later on you didn't even show up for it betrays a typical kind of person who's mainly out there to begrudge others of their success and will then do anything to destroy it, even if that means cutting your own nose off despite your face. Don't blame others for Y O U R greed when it's your envy forbidding you to approach someone who earns well being able to help people with health issues.

  4. Why do you have to go to any doctors at all. Are you not capable of getting the info from many videos and write down all you have to get and then go and get it and start on your own? You are not a 2 year old child so just study and do it on your own. Have you ever seen fat people in a German concentration camp? NO. So if you calculate your calorie intake accordingly to your body weight you will get a number that tells you how many calories your body needs to be of the same weight you are now. You subtract 500 calories from that and you will go by that to lose weight. Cut on carbs gradually and add healthy oils also gradually. All food should be organic and as raw as possible. Please, get books from Dr. Bernard Jensen, he became best North American doctor and also European doctor in health nutrition and he is from old school, his practice was almost 70 years and he is genius in this field. He was honest person so if you study his books you will help not only yourself but many others, too.

We gather information from many sources and found what works for us. Expensive, how can that be . The information is free. I tried HMR. Now that was a expensive scam that never teaches you how to eat from the store. Just their HMR meals. I will be staying on keto and continue to gather all the free information I can get.

  5. Thank you for taking the time to address your experience with Dr. Berg. I'm sorry that happened to you & apparently, many others. I did a quick Google on him & casewatch dot com shows a disciplinary letter & fine he paid outlining numerous illegal no no's. It appears he almost had his chiropractic license revoked back in 2008. Perhaps they are unaware that he continues to scam his patients.

    1. Yes. I looked him up and found that disciplinary notice too. Bells first rang when he was in my youtube favourites under just his name - without the "Doctor". Then I saw he has chiropractor on his youtube 'about me', but some videos he does start off calling himself "doctor". He may well be a chiropractor doctor - but he is not a medical doctor. Also I heard a husband and wife who were doctors on his talk vid who denounced strongly what he said about not drinking so much water. He almost laughed at them. The usual 'nice' face, nice soft nature, but in my opinion --- con. ugh!

    2. I'm wondering if you meant to say Quackwatch, not "casewatch." If so, I feel people need to know that Quackwatch is a website, operated by one man, a retired psychiatrist. Even though psychiatrists have to have an MD degree, that does not make him an expert by any stretch of the imagination! He's an AMA shill and is dedicated to attacking anything that is not allopathic. He's very unreliable and should be taken down. If anything, do a search and read about the history of how allopathic medicine began with the Rockefeller's and big oil. That might give some understanding and perspective on mainstream medicine.

I was really unset to not be able to buy his supplements from Canada (without the customs clearing costs)... those prices are bloody ridiculous - particularly with the exchange rate to CAD.

I don't have a weight problem, but I do have a messed up thyroid and crazy anxiety which seems to addressed directly with a couple of his supplements... I believe they work and I believe he's trying to make as much money as he can with his health knowledge.

      Has anyone managed to find comparable supplements on health food shelves? If you have, I'd appreciate some names for the following he sells;

      1. Estrogen Balance with DIM
      2. Dr. Berg's Hair Formula
      3. Adrenal & Cortisol Relief
      4. Raw Wheat Grass Juice Powder

    2. You may want to look into the "Thorne" or "Pure" brand available on Amazon. They are much less and are highly regarded. Also this adrenal product is interesting to me I just purchased. Expensive, but 240 pills and 1 per day not too bad. Dr. Dan Purser, MD is the designer of these products and also of a Glutathione that actually works! He is very good with Fibromyalgia and Bio identical hormones. He figured out that it's all about copper being in the muscles of the body where it should not be Similar to D/K being needed to return calcium back to the bones etc. https://nutrascriptives.com/collections/hormone-health/products/adrenal-nutrascriptives. Lastly I would definitely take Iodoral if you are willing to try it at 12.5mg per day. Make sure to take Selenium 200 mg, Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin A for two weeks before you add the Iodoral. Those with all kinds of thyroid problems can benefit from it. I took 50 mg. for a month and it changed my life. It's almost been a miracle! OCD symptoms and depression literally GONE! So much more energy also. I'm 60, but I feel 20...lol...I did decrease to 12.5 because it's a more reasonable does. Good Luck! I hope this helps a little.

  7. I do find a bit of reason to question the legitimacy and the motives of Dr. Berg. It does seem sometimes that he is pushing his products only. It also seems that those products may not really do much. I have personally never used them. I just listen to him a whole lot on youtube. While there are times that he seems like a big salesman, there are also a lot of times when he is just flat out correct in what he is saying. That is why it is so confusing to me. I don't buy some of the stuff that he says - or moreover I am questionable about some stuff - though he says a lot of stuff that I believe to be true and have seen to work flat out. He does have a good working knowledge of biology and nutrition. You can follow his advice without visiting his clinic (seems completely unnecessary) and you will lose weight and become a more healthy individual. So, take it as you may. Take the good and leave the questionable.

  8. I don't care if he's a scammer or not. I followed some of his guidelines and lost 20Kg in 3 months and I didn't buy anything from his shop. I live in Australia and just got whatever I needed from the health food store here. He's not the only 1 hustling stuff on Y. T. So just be sensible. I take his advice, then try and find other sources saying the same thing or close to it. Whatever happened to you is probably your fault for giving in to that kind of B.S, but anyway move on and I hope your weight loss issues can be sorted in some way soon. Good luck.

All u have to do is follow the Intermittent fasting guidelines and/or Keto diet and you will get the results you want. Instead, you go to a clinic, probably don't follow the plan, waste your money, and then blame the people trying to help you. Just stick with your diet pills and binge eating. I'm sure that'll get you what you want. Quit making excuses and fucking do something fgood for yourself!

He gives references on videos, he shows his face, gives information for the price of 'please subscribe' but no obligation! !! Does the food and drug administration have a bit to be concerned about?? I think so. Also intermittent fasting requires a small bit of dicipline. Speak to someone who grew up before convenience stores and fast food restraunts cropped up and ask them about when they ate.. sounds like 16:8 intermittent fasting..

I still have not started the diet plan, so i can only blame myself if i don't loss weight. So i have to push myself and get organized. I have brought natural health products in the past from other companies and i find that the price i payed is less then some of the products i have brought in the past. So far i dont have any complaints.
I am only concern about the hard sells and the consumers right to cancelled within 3 days. That should be inforce.

  16. You know, I understand all sides of this debate here. The simple fact is that there are some of us, myself included, who would never, ever buy such products or services as these...and there are some that just need any seemingly knowledgeable person to tell them that they have the answer and they end up shelling out mega bucks and receive absolutely nothing in return. This behavior is an artifact of mainstream culture.
Mainstream thinkers do not want to take the time to research things themselves. They want someone to do that for them. This applies to health concerns (quacky doctors and today in the US, very few are not quacks), political opinions (mainstream media and social media), religious beliefs (church)...everything.
Bad experiences like the above happen because the universe is trying to coax you, by virtue of allowing you to face the consequences, into using your own very capable mind to think for yourself.
As far as human health question is concerned, the very real dangers involved with eating meat and animal products needs to be personally researched and understood by everyone who really wants the truth and aspires to living a healthy, happy life. The iron-clad science is out there just waiting for people to wake up and seek it out. If you want to lose weight, lower your blood pressure, REVERSE heart disease, REVERSE many kinds of cancers, REVERSE type 2 diabetes, prevent Alzheimer's Disease, ...and the list goes on and on...consumption of meat, poultry, fish, dairy and eggs must stop.
I'm not here to convince anyone of anything other than thinking for yourself. Some places to start getting the information you need to manage your own health are below.
What the Health - an excellent documentary that's been made freely available on YouTube.
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi21Ex9kMqs
Forks Over Knives - another high quality documentary that you can watch for free on Netflix or for a small rental fee on YouTube.
How Not to Die by Dr. Michael Greger - Dr. Greger receives NO proceeds whatsoever from the sale of this book. It all goes to charity. He's written this book and devoted his entire life to making people aware of the science that proves conclusively that consuming animal products destroys the human body.

Prevent & Reverse Heart Disease by Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn - This book is wonderful and has changed many lives for the better, including mine and my husband's.
    https://www.amazon.com/Prevent-Reverse-Heart-Disease-Nutrition-Based-ebook/dp/B000SEK74M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505822426&sr=8-1&keywords=caldwell+esselstyn

There's no need for people to be so harsh to each other. Just because you wouldn't fall for scams like the above doesn't mean that you wouldn't, or HAVEN'T, fallen for something else that was less than truthful or designed to deceive you. That's why I am so adamant that we all try to seek the truth for ourselves instead of relying on doctors, politicians, news anchors, preachers, our friends, our parents or anyone else. It's our own responsibility to seek the truth in all things and if we decline that responsibility, we accept the consequences.

Do your own research, the internet is filled with information as well as the library - READING IS FUNDAMENTAL! Dr. Berg has help me physically, his religious views are not my business. Half the stuff you buy, the owners are probably is involved in Scientology, Satan Worship and who knows what else. Make decisions based on knowledge, wisdom and COMMON SENSE!

The truth is Dr. Berg offers countless free health info that is benefiting innumerable people to become healthier without buying any of his supplements, which by the way are excellent and worth every penny. What price can be put on health? People spend thousands every year on entertainment and toys and don't bat an eye, but have a hernia over taking stock in their own health. Ridiculous!

  22. The low carb / ketogenic way of eating is not the issue here, it's supported by a huge number of proper medical doctors (in nephrology, neurology, internal medicine, endocrinology etc) who have REAL practices with REAL patients, and who aren't in it for the money, but through trying to help humanity. OK, some make a bit of money off it, but they still are working as physicians. More and more are coming onboard, and are trying to effect their governments to change their food guides to a more healthier way of eating. Eric Berg (and other lesser qualified people - scammers or not) have jumped on the Low Carb / Keto bandwagon to make a buck.

A girlfriend of mine married a Doctor Who basically had somebody died because he was high on cocaine and couldn’t get to them on time for emergency but you know what after the review board he stayed on as a doctor because there’s so few people that become doctors it’s a joke don’t paint a brush with people just because you don’t like that they belong to Scientology you have no idea what your doctor does behind closed doors

Besides that, it takes more education to become a chiropractic physician than it does to be come an M.D. not withstanding board certifications. The MD's killed both my mother and father, so do not tell me how wonderful M.D.'s are. I am a chiropractic physician and am proud of that and happy that I am not an M.D. All the average M.D. does in a general practice is to order lab tests, X-Rays and prescribe drugs. How great is that?

LOL this made me chuckle. Yeah sorry shoveling donuts down your gullet each day is unhealthy and you MIGHT have to change your diet to something that actually works. Ketosis is beyond Dr Berg, there is tons of free info out there on it, but a weak willed individual such as yourself and many other commenters here probably cant handle it if you expect to follow the typical mainstream health recommendations that you so loyally have followed our whole life, leading you to whatever status of health you currently are at.

As far as the clinic experience goes, go cry a river. The health care system in the USA is broken, you expected some sort of miracle here?

Go read 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill.
He speaks of specializing in knowledge in which you can then charge for your information. Dr Berg is providing this specialized knowledge FREELY on his youtube and website, so for a more specific and catered version you can PAY him for his services for further details on said specialized knowledge.

    Enjoy your sugary diets

If you like what he says, you can do more research on it and use some common sense and intuition to do what you consider the best for you. I’m a a doctor if Vhibese medicine and done of what he suggests is common knowledge. He sells because that is his job. I don’t think he ever claimed to be volunteering his services. Many drs have free consultations so that you get to know them and get some questions answered. That doesn’t mean you expect free treatments. Your review was unfair and soils reputation. Take responsibility for your decisions. I find that in USA many do not take responsibility for their decisions.

    1. I know a comment is going to be helpful when it starts out with an oppressive air of hostility and immediately spats 'You People are hilarious..." "You people that say it cost..." You people, you people. Hey, You person. The point you're trying to make isn't necessarily incorrect, you just sound like an asshole who is full of contempt for others and you're more than willing to put others down in order to passionately defend Dr. Berg. It sounds like, you person, you're trying to get others to understand good priorities? That they should perhaps look at their own histories of poor diets and all the money they've spent buying terribly food that has wrecked their health, the vacactions and other forms of entertainment they've likely spent a great deal of money on and compare that to how important it is to INVEST, whatever the cost, in getting to a place of good health, again. Is that it? You posted a very similar comment further up this page. After rereading both of your comments, however, I'm realizing that although your approach is a bit prickly, you're not the person who took the time to post insults to anyone who has an issue with Dr. Berg, or questions his credibility. I apologize, I might've been too hard on you. In any case, I do agree with the point you make, suggesting that people think about what truly matters and direct their efforts (and money) to that end. Take care!💖

  29. I keep reading about people complaining about his high price supplements. If you want cheap artificial supplements go to Walmart or Kmart. You get what you pay for. He is offering top quality product that is natural and works. If you want the best that works pay the price for the best. If you want artificial garbage supplements that needs to be flushed down the toilet instead you're going to flush it down your throat then go to Walmart. And since that won't work and your health won't get any better while you're sitting in your easy chair watching TV wondering why you feel so crappy at least you'll be able to count all the money you saved.

  32. Why didn’t you just buy his book for like 20 bucks ? I was just look at his supplements on line the aren’t expensive. That’s what supplements go for. Even protein powder is expensive. Go to the Vitamin Shop or GNC. High quality is a little more.

  33. My experience with doctor Berg's advice and products has been nothing short of a miracle. I was in a very serious bike accident in early 2017 and after 2 years of rehab, inactivity and a lot of medication I was in poor health and had gained nearly 50lbs.
I stumbled across Dr Berg's youtube channel and at first was very sceptical given he was providing advice and selling products, not a combination I usually trust. Given the scientific detail he goes into I watched a few videos and figured I would put some of his advice to the test. The results have been remarkable. One of the key things to remember is if you are going to try intermittent fasting there are a lot of factors you have to get right for it to work. You need to do you research and plan things out, get your minerals (potassium) and good fats, and give it time. Years of poor diet or diets with high carbs can't be reversed in a few weeks. You need to understand the concept of insulin resistance and Dr Berg has the best series of videos to explain this concept and how to reverse it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. you don't have necessarily to buy Dr Berg's supplements. just watch his tons of videos for free, then adapt those advice according to your daily life. f you really meant for health, you just follow his advice & there's no terms of 'very strict' advice etc.

if he does copyright terms etc from somewhere, indeed, but he simplify those facts for us in layman terms- that's should we concern about.
I have achieved weight loss after identifying some of my health problems based on his recommendations! tq Dr Berg.

    1. You are right, that at best, we should watch the videos as a guide!!
What Paleo, Keto, and all of those "diets" fail to realize is that when human race followed those type of diet (heavy fat, heavy protein, no grains), the life expectancy was like 20 years!! :D nowadays people (want to) live well into their 80s and 90s.... and that was accomplished by yes, medical interventions in some cases, but mostly for eating a "balanced" diet that yes, dare I say it" includes some grains, like oats!

People like Mr Berg, give a bad reputation to all grains and all those less expensive foods and also defame all vegetables by saying the soil is depleted from nutrients.... and they leave you disappointed and confused....and you feel the only way to get better is to eat mean, butter, bacon and of course their supplements!!

  38. I'm not here to comment on Dr. Berg, I don't yet know enough about the gentleman, either way. However, after reading all of the comments people left in response to the person who shared their bad experience, (hoping to prevent others from making the same mistake) I'm left feeling like the human species might just be doomed. I'm serious, there are just too many thoughtless lemmings in the world, who aren't interested in compassion or trying to understand the experiences of another person. Instead, they're more interested in playing defense, projecting hostility and harsh judgements which tend to result in a whole lot of hurled insults and little else.
Some of the posts did contain kernels of truth here and there, unfortunately, every one of them gets drowned out as they're engulfed by wave after tidal wave of scorn and derision. Y'all put forth some of the most pitiful examples of humanity I've encountered online, the collective contempt for others is off the charts. What to say... Cheers. Enjoy. Have nice lives shattering every opportunity to show a little decency. Let's stand back and watch hope turn to ash.

1 thing you have to know and fully understand when doing ketogenic diet, is to balance wt a lot of vegetables & intermittent fasting. that's the key points here. if you don't have these two things, don't blame him. it's your faults. People suffering bad when doing keto as they are not following the correct methods. there are no magical & easy way to maintain healthy.

fully understand about insulin resistance, fatty liver etc. & reversing are essential for me. Regarding about his products, we have opt not to buy as well & can buy other brands similar wt cheaper

his blaming about grains, sugar are true when if we take them too much

most important things - take a lots of vegetables - excersice - fasting - quality sleep. last but not least - pray to God & be good to others 😺. cheers!
